I´ve read his book black rednecks and white liberals. What I got out of this book it that blacks in the US have a subculture that opposes education and a traditional familiy. Those factors lead to low IQ. The proof that IQ is not a matter of genetics is that black people who grew up outside of that subculture did just as well as the people around them. He used the example of black sodiers that were stationed in germany after ww2 and their children.

This has been studied hundreds upon hundreds of times, your bizarre theory has been disproven in 100% of them.

Of course culture makes a difference; it's just a tiny, minuscule difference compared to biology. Sub-Saharan Africans are a hominid population that is pure homo-saliens, whereas Europeans and most Asians have between 2 and 4% Neanderhalic admixture. That is a far greater difference than any cultural upbringing can compare to.

Great reads, especially his explanation on political beliefs as a basic extension of your view of human nature. His thoughts on intellectuals as people who merely traffic in ideas, avoid reality, and pay no price for being wrong is a great eye opener as well.

I also like to point out how Sowell is an perfect example of the stranglehold the left holds on higher education for minorities, I.e. you are only a black intellectual if you parrot left-wing ideology. Sowell is a hundred times greater than a Ta'nehsi Coates or Talcum X, and much more prolific as well - but guess who gets to be a spokesman for "black issues"?

There is no evidence that culture has a significant impact on IQ. Nutrition does, but still, about 80% of genetically inherited. Culture is merely an aspect of biology interacting with the environment. Intelligence makes culture, not the other way around. You may as well claim that culture determines height or eye color. What your suggesting is literally paranormal.
