Of course there's a difference. These are monuments to a lost cause. These things literally celebrate rebels against the Federal government. These are icons commemorating morons who were too stupid to realize that, if they stayed in the Union, they might have actually had a chance to preserve slavery. Had they worked within the system, they might have won their argument through law and politics. Instead millions of their people were slaughtered and their culture was decimated.
