Is being a "church lady" predicated on being in power and therefore whoever gets in power will use their tactics?

Was the right-wing feeling of superiority just facade which is now crumbling down as Trump won the election?

How do we stop these conservatives who are riding the alt-right/new-right wave from turning the entire right of center into free-speech authoritarian once more?

Shutting down events and getting people fired for thought crimes used to be left-wing tactics, times are changing.
