please look into Chapter 11 bankruptcy. It's not liquidation. it's reorganisation of debt... yes, at a lower interest rate which helped Donald, but all that meant is that the bank that loaned him money didn't make as much off their loans. They certainly didn't get completely hosed out of all the money they loaned to Trump.

Ch 11 is usually the last ditch effort to restructure a company before Ch 7 liquidation. Many companies who file for Ch 11 end up filing for Ch 7 later, closing the company down and screwing over the debtors. Trump came out of Ch 11 every time, a monumental feat considering more than one was during the housing market crash and the guy works in real estate.

The only debtors who get screwed over in Ch 11 are unsecured debt holders. And they know they have a chance of getting screwed when the company they are doing business with declares BK, so I don't have much sympathy.

Many notable companies have filed Ch 11. Do you refuse to fly on most american airlines or delta? refuse to drive GM or Chrysler? refuse to eat at certain chain restaurants or shop at certain big box stores because they have all filed for Ch 11?
