Trump is, and has always been, a civic nationalist. Most of his support base are civic nationalist. Civic nationalism is becoming normalized in America, ruining any chance of white nationalism or the establishment of a white ethnostate for the foreseeable future. I'd argue that if Hillary got elected, there would have been more of a chance of such white nationalism rising.
