I've noticed in the last 2-3 years food prices have roughly doubled. The statistics will lie about this, because they include non-food like soda and candy and bread that have stayed the same price. Vegetables, meat, fruit, all doubled in price. Rent is ridiculous. Even if we live frugally, we always have less and less money.
