Mario Kart is bullshit. If you're in first place, you can easily stay there because the person in second place never gets any good items except for maybe an occasional red shell. But if you're in say, 5th place, every other player around you is getting stars and 3 red shells, meaning you're constantly getting whacked with items and dropping down in position. If you get hit multiple times in a row and drop down into last place, it's almost impossible to regain your position in the pack unless you get a bullet bill. Mario Kart's item distribution makes it harder to crawl from the middle to first place, not easier.

We already do this. Tax brackets, welfare, government insured banking, government loans, unions, minimum wage, social security tax. Mario kart is also a game for children, it doesn't teach them about life and responsibility, it lets them enjoy themselves regardless of their competence levels. It doesn't prepare them for adulthood, it keeps them in a state of childhood. All while the state (Nintendo) dictates and controls every aspect of their lives (in the game). Their options in life are eternally restricted by what the game offers them. Their creativity is stunted by the limited options available to them, yet they embrace the Nintendo and love it, because they have developed a dependency upon it.
It's not until the break free of the shackles of the game (socialism) and enter the realm of reality, that they are truly free.
