Institutional science in the spirit of fields like theoretical physics, cognitive science, psychology, and many more, is a self-supporting language game that exists mainly to financially support dorks that cannot survive on their own or add actual value to society. They sprung up because unintelligent betas had a misguided need to explain the engineering successes in electronics and material sciences. The result is a bunch of purely theoretical constructs that don't even have utility in predicting results. A bias is built into the scientific instruments so that it appears to be providing us with glimpses into reality. Think of particle spectroscopy.
The intelligent person asks: If something can only be verified to exists by using equipment that presupposes it's existance. If it cannot be touched, seen with the naked eye, and isn't useful in human endeavours; why should we say that it is real?
