I don't know where the idea comes from that National Socialist Germany was a "Police State" other than the fact that it had a police force, and after 1939 was a country at war, so security would be tighter.

If you want to see a police state, look at the USSR. Anyone who the Soviets disliked, with or without any valid reason, would be sent away to Siberian death camps never to be seen again. The US and Britain, being allies of this monstrous regime, had to make Germany seem even worse somehow.

I know the USSR was a shit hole. They killed so many and its rarely even talked about. East Germany for instance was where the secret police would form portfolios on everyone and keep tabs on people.

Rebuttal: USA and Canada put Germans and Japanese into internment camps as well. Britain also suspended its parliament and disbanded and imprisoned Moseley's neutral and peace-seeking BUF party (so much for "democracy").

Gays were only put into concentration camps who were convicted of indecent public exposure. Despite all the denouncement of gays, there was little government action against them.

Jews and communists launched a revolt and took over the state of Bavaria in 1918-1919, as well as organizing anti-war strikes and so on, and Hitler had to be sure they wouldn't do the same thing.

Also, the concentration camps were nothing like the soviet gulags, the German camps literally had theatres, swimming pools, gift shops, post offices, etc. (The list of amenities goes on)

Yeah i ended up watching some stuff about the concentration camps and the supposed "gas chambers" and it doesn't add up to what i've been told for years. Kinda crazy why they would lie about such a thing.
I do know they did have a typhus out break in Auschwitz and that is why some of the Camp members died. I also know that the major reason why a lot of prisoners died was because of the allies bombing supply trains and such.
