I used to be a liberal mainly because of environmentalist reasons. I didn't care if they earth was getting warmer, because there's no proof it's 100% human caused. But I was disgusted when they taught us in school that there are country-sized patches of garbage floating around in the pacific ocean because of us. I recently found that out to by a myth.
Where do I sign up to start killing jews?

It isn't an island, its a massive patch of water with tiny plastic particulate floating loosely in the top 3~ inches of surface.
It being a single coalesced mass is a myth, but the plastic being there is not.

No shit, we are dumping shit into the ocean, there's going to be particles of it in the ocean.

>Peer-reviewed papers suggest that the highest concentration of microplastic is around three pieces of plastic the size of a pencil eraser in a cubic meter.

There are documentaries showing crews going out and collecting samples. Its far, far more than three small pieces per cubic meter.
The effects of BPA and other estrogen like compounds in our environment can't be ignored.

the island is a myth
but the garbage is there, mostly underwater and it definitely tends to form huge masses in some places, you just can't really see it
