Did you read the article? And did you miss that there's no more DAPA and DACA is set to expire. Incredibly fake news from an incredibly gay faggot.

Interesting facts :

>90% of Dreamers favor Democratic policies

>There are roughly 7 million immigrants in the United States who might be, or might become, eligible for the “deferred action” initiative for unauthorized youth brought to this country as children.

DACA is a political landmine, trump can't afford to alienate moderates by deporting kids that never knew they were in the country illegally

their parents can still be deported since DAPA was blocked by the courts during the obama years

all in all minimal impact. you have to continually re-apply for DACA and pay a large fee, but you have to remain in good standing and either get a high school diploma, stay enrolled in school, or have been honorably discharged from the armed forces. DACA makes them trackable, allows them to work positions that are legally documented and paid at least the minimum wage, makes them pay taxes on said income, etc... and no road to actual legal status, just a work permit that can be revoked at any itme.

right now there's plenty of more important shit on the table, e.g. deporting adults, especially ones in higher risk groups

> As our analysis shows, most DREAMers are Mexican and are found in big immigrant-receiving states such as California, Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, Utah, Indiana, New Jersey and Texas. Yet DREAMers are also found in virtually every state, and significant numbers are Mexicans. Just under half of DREAMers are female. The majority of DREAMers are 15 or older and are eligible to apply for deferred action right now. However, nearly a quarter of DREAMers are 14 or younger and are not yet eligible to apply, but will be eligible at some point in the future if the deferred action initiative still exists. And close to another quarter of the DREAMer population could become eligible for deferred action if they earn a GED. Demographic details such as these should inform the decision-making process of the federal government as it implements the deferred action initiative, as well as community groups assisting the populations they serve in taking advantage of this opportunity.

DACA doesn't make them legal residents or citizens and it keeps the lower risk group in check. DACA applicants have to re-apply every two years and basically pay for their background check. it forces them to register their biometrics with USCIS so if they get arrested for any reason, they pop up as being illegal and they can deport them for now being criminals.

in many states, DACA recipients are not eligible for drivers licenses or other benefits, severely limiting their employment options.

in a perfect world, it would be easier to say "if they're illegal, make them get out". in practice, we have ~11.3 million illegal immigrants in the US. making a lower risk group that was raised in the US since a young age be on USCIS radar and pay gainful jobs at the wages an american would get paid (not illegal untaxed under the table wages that depress wages for american labor) is sensible. deferred action gives them no path to citizenship or permanent resident status.

once they get the higher risk groups of illegals under control and use measures like the wall and increased enforcement to reduce illegal entries of new illegal immigrants, then they can focus on deporting lower risk groups. but there's enough bigger fish to fry where DACA is a "lesser evil".
>>
>>130157486
DACA gives them an EAD (employment authorization document), a work permit. they can then work legitimate minimum wage jobs like burger flipping. they will have state and federal income taxes withheld on their paychecks. yes, they will get some money back from a tax return such as deductions, but they'll still have at least some tax burden
>>
>>130158090
All people who come here illegally are still criminals. And they still breed like rats, you're basically making your children homeless and your country become third world. Fuck your boomerness and your support for our decline. Ending DACA or not renewing it once it expires will ultimately save our country and you're too retarded to realize that. Fuck the moderates, The DREAMers will never vote for Trump
>>
who else is reporting this? because this is big... if true
>>
>>130158090
Yeah like a driver's licence or "benefits" is gonna stop anyone from getting a job. The only jobs DACA users can't get is any gov. based jobs like law enforcement or military
>>
>>130158402
from what I get minimum wage is 7,25$, that only amounts to ~15k a year, thats a hot 240$ incomes tax, zero if married under trumps tax plan.

That doesn't even cover the cost to handle this tax return.
>>
>>130158404
1) DACA does not expire as a law. DACA provides applicants who are approved deferred action for two years, at which point they must reapply.

2) DACA requires all applicants to have lived continuously in the US since 2007 and to have been physically present in the US in June of 2012. point of being, any children of those covered after DACA passed wouldn't be eligible.

3) DACA does not provide them amnesty, immunity, or legal status. it makes them pay a huge fee to get background checked and tracked every two years to help USCIS determine that they are lower risk, and for the time being, deport illegal immigrants which are a bigger problem.

DACA by nature should be a temporary program, since they are not legally within the country, but killing DACA now would result in hundreds of thousands of people losing their jobs immediately and then would start in the deportation of people with no criminal background, who had been in the US most of their life, who most people are sympathetic to. It would be perfect fodder for the democrats to show the GOP as monsters tearing families apart. it would drive the support of those communities and of many moderates back to the dems, resulting in a huge loss in 2020.

DAPA was never implemented into law and thus repeal was easy since repeal didn't really effect anything. DACA repeal is a political landmine. trump is better off getting over the current Russia shit, getting the wall built, dealing with more critical issues, keep on winning.

the second term of a president (re-election) is when shit gets fun (assuming his party can keep a majority), because then he's in for four years barring impeachment. since he doesn't have to worry about getting re-elected, then you can do all the drastic moves, like obama passing DACA in 2014 (his second term) in the first place, trump can then repeal DACA in his second term.

Trump Admin Rescinds DAPA Amnesty Program
>The Trump administration has fulfilled another one of Donald Trump’s campaign promises by rescinding the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) program implemented under Barack Obama that could have allowed as many as five million illegal aliens with children who are citizens or lawful permanent residents to remain in the country if they met certain criteria.
>DAPA was blocked by the courts from implementation, which the Department of Homeland Security cited as a reason for rescinding the program.
>A DHS press released said Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly signed a memorandum rescinding DAPA on Thursday because “there is no credible path forward to litigate the currently enjoined policy.”
>The program had been challenged by 26 states after Obama issued it in November 2014.
>The Supreme Court deadlocked when ruling on the constitutionality of the program in June 2016, splitting the vote 4-4 due to the empty seat at the time left by late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.
>One of Trump’s signature campaign promises was that he would rescind both DAPA and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program if elected president.
>The DHS press release added, however, that the June 2012 Obama memorandum creating DACA will remain in effect. That program applies to certain illegal aliens in the U.S. who arrived as children and met specific criteria.
He did it.

you miss the long term game. you want a pyrrhic victory to say that you repealed DACA and then lose a lot more than you gained.

let's start down the laundry list of shit that would occur if trump repeals DACA.

trump's support with the entire republican politican base is tenuous at best. even those that support repeal believe that if DACA were to be repealed, that the existing work permits should be permitted to expire. if he invalidates them, not only is it mass public outrage, but he loses support of republicans that he needs to get other items like the border wall done, and then a ton of other shit doesn't get done. if he allows the existing work permits to be valid until expiration, they're here for another two years minimum under legal status anyways. they can start to hide or go underground on employment. USCIS is unlikely to worry about deporting the DREAMers first because they are a lower risk group. advocacy groups for illegals will then spend shitloads of money to halt/slow the deportation process.

meanwhile, it will be fuel to the fire for dems to take key seats in the House and senate. especially in the senate, GOP would only need to lose three seats to lose the majority in 2018. if that happens, he's fucked.

between seeing kids who grew up in the US (albeit without legal status) and the dems then cockblocking trump on getting anything else done, they will make trump seem not only as an monster who tears families apart to the dem base and moderates, but they will also cockblock him on getting any legislation done, making him an impotent, ineffective president. dems will then point out to him not "winning, winning, winning", you'll end up with some progressive nut like Elizabeth warren getting the dem base riled up and inspired, and then in 2020 we'll have some progressive nutjob in office going far more left than hillary clinton ever would have.

there is a time and a place to get rid of DACA.

but the timing is not good right now.
>>
>>130156841
>DACA is set to expire
No it isn't, you sycophants keep spreading that bullshit but the only way it expires if he STOPS issuing work permits. Something he has not done and something he has shown no willingness to do.

Look, I know you want to support Trump and want to be loyal but at least be honest about what the fuck you're talking about.

your interpretation is incorrect.

DACA is the dreamer act that allows those who came in the US as kids, have at least a high school education (or are still studying, etc.) to get deferred action on deportment and US work authorization. white house says that is staying.

DAPA was a second act. for the parents of those who received deferred under DACA, the parents of those people could seek deferred action under DAPA.

DACA is in effect and over a million have work authorization from it.
DAPA was legally blocked by a judge in 2014 and never took effect as a result, so repealing it doesn't really have any impact, and thus easy for trump to do.

Honestly i don't give a shit if he loses the next term. its better for him to get things done now (or atleast put in the effort) and fail then it is to fuck around 4 years in the hopes that he will do something next term. Its such an ineffective way of governing. And im sick of republican esk people tolerating it.
>and then in 2020 we'll have some progressive nutjob in office
Fine. It's better to get a far left nutjob in next time than a middle ground republican/democrat. It would fuel the flames of radical politics from every side. The country is on a slow death course otherwise.

It worked very well in Nazi Germany, China, Yugoslavia. What didn't worked well was war, like Hitler attacking 20 other countries. Now imagine USA gets 1 million legal and 1 million illegal very fast each year, but deporting 1000 takes very long, a lot of discussion about it. Democracy is a very crappy system to say the least. 1 million per week should be how much you deport. Half of this or as much as this was possible in past.
