Depends. Eventually he'd be forced to confront the fact that socialist policies in a country with double digit percentages of people refuse to work only serve to burden the actual working class as the rich will only continue to put their money overseas or in untaxable assets.

From there, it's guaranteed class warfare: either purges and deportations followed by nationalism or Soviet Russia depending on which faction BB Burns decides to back with state power.

Yes. He literally didn't have a plan to pay for any of the programs he wanted, and he would have increased regulation even more thus turning America's economy into more of a craphole. He's basically a socialist with no respect for the Constitution.

Depends. He would have had to get his policies passed by the Congress, and neither side is very friendly towards him and his ideas. He was running a meme campaign based on fantasy, and not what he could actually accomplish. His high school equivalent is the chess club member running for class President promising free pizza and all kinds of freebies, with no actual plan to pay for it, or support from the administration to pay for it.

IF Bernia had won, he would have had a "come home to jesus" meeting with Pelosi and crew, and told exactly what they would support, and what they wouldn't, and if he wanted anything done, he'd have to support their agenda.

Trump is in the same position, and we can all see how that's working out for him, legislatively. The Congress is moving on legislation THEY want, and just give him a 'yeah yeah yeah" over the wall and Obamacare.

Assuming in a backwards world where both are true, yes. The destruction of the fossil fuel industry for green energy alone would collapse the economy. $15 minimum wage would destroy every small business in almost every state. Free college for gender study degrees is self explanatory. Cutting back on our military would allow China or Russia to take over the void and spiral the entire balance of power out of control which would crash the dollar from widespread uncertainty.
