Are you somewhat illiterate? There is no imposed tax on anybody. No payroll, social security, etc... type of taxes. Business and individuals are only taxed when they purchase something. Individuals are treated equally. If they buy the same product, then they each get taxed the same percentage rate on that product.

No but a 5-10% consumption tax and no income tax for say the first $50k income and a lower rate simple flat tax above that might not be a bad way to go.

A whole bunch of fucking reasons:
>richfags don't consume all their money while poorfags do, thus poorfags pay a higher share of tax relative to their income.
>20% off a $2000 a month income spent entirely on food,clothing etc. is way more burdensome than 20% off a $200k a month income which was spent only 15% of on consumption and the rest on investments, savings etc.
>Liberals don't want it because it hurts the poor, Conservatives don't want it because it would give the federal gov. too much money and control.
