Scotland is still really fucking nationalist, and the recent spate of terror attacks really made them think of the home front. A lot of people voting Tory now if you take a look st local polls.

People lost hope in independence ages ago, I don't know where articles claim "99% of all Scots want independence!!! Alba gu barf!!!" get their statistics from.

The police in Scotland are also much more strict than down south. They have access to equipment (e.g. Spit masks) that is declared "too controversial" by anglos and make very tough enquiries.
