desu it comes and goes. no one in this thread will admit it but every region in america will support federal policies that benefit them. The South was very supportive of the federal government during the early 20th century and presidents like Wilson and FDR were very popular in the south.

It's only recently that the federal government has been taken over by social leftists that want to push their agenda on the rest of the nation. The South has also grown very well economically since the 40s and especially in the 80s due to deregulation so we tend to be much more financially conservative now.
