The floors were made up of concrete slabs with rebar on top of double laced trusses bolted to the exterior wall columns and the core columns.
The hat truss was at the top of each tower and made up the final three floors, with large steel beams connecting the walls to the core and giving the building its integrity. The hat truss was responsible for redistributing the weight of the building to the walls and the core.

In the case of both tower's collapse, the entire section of the towers moved. This means the cores failed first, not the floors. The floors didn't have the strength to pull the walls into the building on their own (and if they did we would have seen the walls bend outwards first, not in)

They wouldn't have needed to plant devices on every floor, but instead they could have planted them every 12-15 floors to knock out the supports and let gravity do the rest.
It's true that the floors had the potential to pancake due to the building's design but it would have needed help. For one, the floors would have had to disconnect from the core. Another issue were the mechanical floors; these floors had I-beams and stronger flooring to hold heavier weight and would have stopped or slowed down the pancaking floors.

If it was a controlled demolition then they destroyed the core's integrity and let the building tear itself apart.

re: WTC 5, is a low rise building anon, WTC 1 & 2 and even WTC 7 had massive floor plates eg. the floor plates at WTC 1 & 2 were 1 acre each i.e. 4500 sq/m, that's huge, most high fise towers that were contructed at that time (1970's) had floor plates half the size. WTC 7 was a 50 storey building with very long floor plates, all three buildings were unique in thd amount of floor space they offered. I was working in Commercial leasing at the time and when we found out how large the floor plates were, we were astonished.

The whole hat truss theory is something that I saw on the documentary called "How the Towers fell" or something similiar it was released 1 year after 9/11. It featured an interview with a senior NYFD official who commented on how dangerous these trusses were. The doco also contained an analysis of the design of the building and it explained it quite well why WTC 1 & 2 were vulnerable to collapse, i.e. no columns to support the floors. The cores of WTC 1 & 2 weren't reinforced with concrete because of the nature of the design and hence both aircraft penetrated the core which led to everyone above the zone of impact not being able to evacuate using those specific stairwells. I don't agree with your theory that charges were placed on other floors, although it is more credible than "jet fuel can't melt steel beams" theory, however the buildings were very "light" for their size and there is evidence that the fire proofing on critical supporting steel beams was deteoriating.

I'm not a civil engineer so I can't offer an informed theory as to why WTC 5 didn't collapse, however I did work in Commercial leasing at the time and I also majored in (((Insurance))) where we learnt about fire ratings and the risks invilved in insuring commercial buildings hence why I'm skeptical about the conspiracy theories etc.
