Someone is trying to pass a law saying that Presidents can't delete social media posts
Is this something that would be considered legal?

There's eventually going to be a mass social media exodus isn't there? This is such petty nonsense.

>Someone is trying to pass a law saying that Presidents can't delete social media posts
This is stupid. Everything anyone has ever posted is still in the archive anyway.

How dare they, they want to hold Trump accountable for what he says. Fucking liberals

>>129641017
Yeah, it's legal because it will be part of Presidential Records Act. It handles archival records of the presidency and the preservation and publication of those.

WhIle they are at it, how about making it illegal to delete any form of communication, authorized by the governent.

But the whole reason he uses realDonaldTrump instead of POTUS is because he can't delete POTUS tweets.
>>129641017
technically no one can delete social media posts. even on 4chan which supposedly "self deletes". think about it. you post something on facebook. it gets cached by google and saved and stored in a database forever (the nsa and fbi have access to this) You then post on 4chan under the same IP address. This is also cached and saved and crosslinked to everything you've posted on facebook and other social media. Its crosslinked with all search terms and youtube videos watched. Its paired up with your phone records, texts, voice calls, emails, everywhere your GPS has located you at, everyone who's phone was in near vicinity with yours...and so on... and so on...
this creates a virtual database describing what kind of person you are.

Eventually something will take place of it all and it will be the internet all over again. People will flock to something new out of genuine interest and love for it and then the normies will ruin it.
Let them, it will put the names of those who enacted it onto paper.
@realdonaldtrump is his private account and he can do whatever he wants with it.
@POTUS Tweets are already archived
Open season on the Congress when? Have they actually done a non-corrupted thing or a practical act in 40 years?
>>129641017
Good fucking luck with that, you clueless fucks
>>129641017
That feels like they're skipping a whole load of steps in legislation to ensure the integrity of "social media" databases.
Can they delete posts at will? Can they fabricate data? What of international law?
Is legislating that side of it justified by whatever reason you don't want the president to delete his tweets?
What of Trump blocking you on twitter?
You can go for miles on some half thought out bill.
