Looking at the map you should come to conclusion that big part of nowadays "Bosnia" belonged to Croatia before the Ottoman aggression.The borders you see today between Bosnia and Croatia were established 1553. with the sole purpose of defending what is left of Croatia and stopping Turks advancing further.This border was called Military Frontier.
