The things I can verify is that most were declared dead on-scene (EMS can pronounce), and there were not a lot of critically injured admits.They thought they'd have a mass casualty event and prepared accordingly, but they got what we'd have called a busy night but not the worst (usually before bad weather the shooting gallery goes a little crazy- it was busy like that) back in New Haven.

Murders that are pronounced on scene, often the bodies will be left there while police put the scene together, but I'd have to phone a friend in path to get the deal on that, I try to keep people alive, I don't play with dead bodies. But there's a lot of situations where you can declare a person really, really, ridiculously dead on-scene, and in a mass casualty event, the goal is to save the people most likely to live first (you actually tag people that will be left to die so that other responders know not to help them and your efforts can be focused on those that you can most likely save)

Chances are, they triaged most of the people on scene that had severe wounds or headshots as casualties to not be assisted. There are members of my religion in every school district and in every public school in the US We have a tight knit community, yet there were no reports of any student killed, injured or even affected by this. If this was real we would see lawsuits against the school districts, school board, gun manufacturers, and whatever security was employed by Sandy Hook Elementary.....Yet we have heard nothing. There are no parents writing books, or running for office to try to enact gun control.....nothing.
School was destroyed. No memorial was erected for the kids...nothing. It doesn't have the ring of truth.

Well again you said they point is to save lives. They could have loaded the helicopter with trauma doctors to drop off at sandy hook elementary and then they could have set up a landing location near the closest hospital to save as many lives as possible. Didn't look like empty fields were too hard to find in that area, and they still likely had landing pads locally. Ultimately, even if it wasn't by the books necessary, which I do not agree with, it was an elementary school shooting so I think even the expense to save one life would be worth not waving off an already fueled and crewed up life flight.

if it was a hoax how didn't anyone from the actual town of Newtown come forward and say either A.) the school was closed, or B.) come forward and say that no one knows any of the "victims?"

Wouldn't one of the kids have come forward by now as they aged? Would child crisis actors be a huge risk for faking something?

That's not how it works at all. Life Star has protocols, it isn't some fucking TV show where you've just got a helicopter to do whatever you want with. It's an air ambulance, not a military operation. And we, as doctors, aren't really trained for field work. All of the stuff we need to really save lives is in the ED, out in the field without support staff or equipment we're honestly probably less useful than a paramedic because we're so used to having everything we need, not operating at a minimum with no blood, warmers, imaging, nurses, surgical tools, anesthesia, etc.
