Actually, it'd have been good for a couple months, probably.

a) The USA would be more reluctant to join the war since they'd fight it in their backyard. Woodrow "The Jew" Wilson joined the war after promissing his people that he would not. Americans really did not want the war, only the bankers and jews wanted. They even redflagged the sinking of an american ship that was trafficking weapons by a german U-BOAT to sway american opinion.

b) After deciding to join the war, american troops would take much longer to join the war in Europe and would come in less numbers. Russia by then was already defeated and Germany had a quick window to deploy the troops that beat Russia from the eastern front to the western front in order to beat France and Britain bantu-sudanese armies (see Battlefield 1).

c) Germany launches Kaiserschlacht OR tries a peace treaty with the Entente thinking that the USA will struggle to join in the war. If the Entente accepts peace, war is over and Hitler is avoided. If Germany launches Kaiserschlacht, things get historical again.

d) Kaiserschlacht goes horribly wrong.

e) USA finishes Mexico off in a war that would have changed the relationship between both countries forever and opened the way to a possible Cuba south of Rio Grande. It'd not be an easy fight, however. Mexicans actually had the Mondragon as standard rifle and mexican troops were already prepared to fight and more experienced thanks to endless civil wars. A crippled but still powerful USA goes to Europe after Kaiserchlacht.

f) Germany gets kicked off Belgium and signs peace treaty before Americans get inside Germany as they did historically.

g) Things go historical again.
