depends on the upbringing really. it's like letting a psychopath into your home, just because he says he's reformed doesn't make it safe.
if someone was developing in a jewish household, went to jewish school, got a summer job with jewish boss/dad, and all of a sudden "i don't like jews" I don't really think they have the capacity for real change. all their thoughts are still jewish thoughts.
