I will review the cost of living, houses, wages, insurances.

After that I want to know:
How can Americans be poor or complain?

1. Housing
Lexington, Kentucky

> population: 314.488
>Lexington has one of the nation's most stable economies. Lexington describes itself as having "a fortified economy, strong in manufacturing, technology and entrepreneurial support
>unemployment rate of 3.7% in August 2015

Sioux Falls, South Dakota

> population: 178.544
> unemployment rate 2.6% in December 2016

Atleast this way you can buy a home without loaning for the next 30 years.
Buy this and pay if off in 15 years, sell if for the same amount or perhaps some more.
Use that money to buy a bigger home again with a relative small loan.

Please post houses in Colorado instead of those 2 shit-states. Preferably somewhere warm and dry.
>>
2. Working

Lexington KY

> Administrative Assistant salaries in Lexington, KY: $16.43 per hour
> Truck Driver salaries in Kentucky $68,068 per year

Sioux Falls SD

> Administrative Assistant salaries in Sioux Falls, SD $13.47 per hour
> Truck Driver salaries in Sioux Falls, SD $61,925 per year

Seems to me that WITHOUT any form of higher education or skills, you can still find jobs which can give you a decent wage

Question.

My grandparents are pensioners living in house thats valued at over $2,000,000 AUD (they got lucky and bought the place like 40 years ago, the area has now become a richfag area)

What's stopping them from selling their house, and moving that money to the US and buying up a really huge house in the US?

Is there anything actually stopping them?

I'm guessing both of you just came to /pol/?

Why would you want to go or want to stay in CO of San Franciso if you know the cost of living there is so expensive?
You have freedom of movement in the US so why don't you migrate to a place where you can have real purchasing power without taking on massive debt?

This is far less expensive than I always thought. We almost pay the same amount to our government for our health insurance
>>
>>129562053
I can understand certain situations that are hard to dig oneself out from, but I am frustrated by the amount of people "struggling" who have the means to move somewhere cheaper but refuse to. Instead they complain. I grew up in Fairfield County, one of the wealthiest in the US, but it was impossible for me to stay there unless I lived with my parents for a long time. I moved across the country to a very inexpensive place, got a job, have done great. I have family members and friends who refuse to leave and have NOTHING. They live with their parents or in someone else's house paying rent for a room/loft/couch, their salaries are shit for the region, and nothing is looking up for them plus most have college debt. I feel no sympathy when they could move to nearly anywhere in middle America. I packed everything I chose to keep in a sedan and took off. So basically, if anyone still has the means to move, and they haven't, they don't get my sympathy.

The "poor" in america have xboxes, at least two tv's, a decent place to stay, are generally overweight thus no food problems and most have at least one car. Compared to the middle class however they are "poor". The american poor are middle class by global standard they just bitch a lot.

I have no state income tax and my property taxes are $700/year. My warranty and insurance are another $1000. My utilities never go higher than $150/month.
>>
>>129562573

Why would they want to? Larger houses take a lot more effort to maintain, so unless they're also willing to shell out for maids and landscaping, they're going to spending a lot of what time they have left just taking care of the house.

My family has a $2 million house, and whenever I'm home from school there's always something that needs doing.
>>
>>129563189
>taxes are $700/year. My warranty and insurance are another $1000
So that around $1700/year let's say $2000.

Over here it's around €14k/year and we still need to pay additional fees for insurance albeit it low, you still have to pay for it.
Extra insurance is around 100-180/ 3months
Education isn't free although it is "cheap"
For example college = €900 entry fee
>>
>>129563265
Implying people don't get joy from working with their hands. How's the drama classes leaf-o-boy?
>>
>>129563336
Holy shit that's brutal. I won't compare college fees, because people here who aren't tards can go to inexpensive college if it's necessary or skip it all together in favor of trades. Generally once you've graduated no one cares where you went, especially once you accumulate job experience, and especially if you aren't in some jew/elite dominated field. I've never been asked for my transcripts or anything about my college. No one has ever verified I went to my school. Small fun fact though, people at my dad's former place of employment there were quite a few firings, because 20+ years post hiring HR finally investigated resumes only to find people had lied about their schools and/or never received their degrees LOL. Totally worth the risk.
>>
>>129562053
Why do you care so much? Plan on moving here one day? The houses that you posted are essentially in the middle of nowhere. Most people want to live in the city/suburbs and have a job they like, not live in the countryside and be a truck driver. But yes, most people in America get by just fine, but there are a lot of people that are financially retarded and go into a lot of debt. Poor people are typically uneducated and unwilling to work hard.
>>
>>129564177
You'd be surprised the amount of people who desire to live in the middle of nowhere and places where it's pretty expensive to do so. Sometimes you have to pay full cash to get places in the middle of no where, and people really want that life. They find towns of 500-3000 where their kids go to school and church as a community where everyone knows everyone. TN and much of the south is very cheap, but many times it's not as low cost just a bit further west. You can find shit trailers sitting on 10 acres without wells (water hauling only) in the desert, miles and miles from town for over 250k.

>a burger complaing about high taxes

Oh god, all of my rage
Let me give you a quick rundown of taxation in Austria. Income tax quickly goes to 50% if you make halfway decent money. VAT is 20% on everything but groceries. On car it's even 36-50%. On gas about 100%. You pay insane taxes just for owning a car. My 3litre V6 diesel engine costs 1000€ in taxes a year. Property tax is insane. Tax on investmentprofits is 27.5%. If you sell real estate you have to pay that tax too, unless you lived in it for more than 8 years. Inheritence tax. Oh and buying real estate you pay 3.5% of the price on top in taxes. And health care is NOT free if you're working, many people pay 200€+ a month just for government insurance. And at least in Vienna it's worth shit. Wait times for doctors are often several weeks. If you're in a hospital and not bleeding to death it takes several hours until a doctor takes a look at you. And some hospitals are so overcrowded that they have to put extra beds with patients in the hallway.

And don't forget that food, electronics and most other things are much more expensive over here. Especially real estate. Cuck sheds start at 300k€.

I know taxation is still far to high in America, I agree, but you guys complaing all the time really causes some frustration. Be thankful you didn't get born in western Europe.
>>
>>129562053
>>129562137
To answer your original question, it's because liberals complain but do nothing to improve their lives. They instead rely on the tax payers to pick up their slack. Conservatives have known about this for generations.

Advice to idiot liberals? Stop being so stuck up. You're living in a bubble. You're the privileged ones. Move out, into the country, and enjoy life. You'll be a lot happier, less stressed, and finally be able to fight off that pesky depression.

I say this because I'd much rather liberal calm the fuck down and enjoy life with their friends and family than see us fight in a bloody civil conflict, like so many of them seem to push for...

People don't have to do it here but choose to. It's retarded. You can go to local schools that cost $5k/year. It doesn't matter what school you went to in the long run. It's about the fact that you got the piece of paper saying you got a 4 year degree and having job experience.
>>
>>129562860
>>129562573

That's 1.5 mil USD

Pretty much every country allows you to skip straight to the front of the immigration queue by investing money in the country

That would set them back $500,000 at least.

These very cheap large houses in the US are also not as attractive as they seem. They're almost always in absolutely shit areas (I'm not talking distance I'm talking niggers) or there are massive problems with the house. But even if they did buy one that would set them back a couple of hundred. Couple in moving and accommodating costs cross continent and there's a few dozen grand.

When they got in the US they'd have a few hundred grand left. That's not a lot of money to see out your days when you're old, have no family to take care of you, and have a house that needs maintenance.
>>
>>129565826
To avoid nigs you have to move to places like Utah, Colorado, northern Arizona, non-Vegas/Reno Nevada, Montana, either Dakota, Idaho, etc. and make sure you are moving to a white part. It really just depends on what lifestyle you want. You end up away from large cities, sometimes you water haul (you have a water tank instead of a community source or private well and purchase water then bring it to your tank which can only cost you a few hundred dollars for every 2-3 months). I don't give a shit about living near any large cities, but some people do.

There is no reason to have a huge home if you don't have a big family. The bigger the house, the more work you have to do in order to take care of it. If you're one person you just need 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom.

I was told by a French man who was just a clerk at a photo shop (mid 2000's when that was still relevant) that he could easily work for promotion and become a sort of manager/assistant manager but the bump in pay would push him over a tax line to the point he'd make nothing extra. I thought it really matched the overall French attitude. People like to give shit to "lazy Americans" cause sure we have our fatties in nasty white trash/nigger trashville, but in normal places people are pretty motivated. I couldn't say the same for France in normal areas. People were pretty defeated about working harder and advancing because of the tax system. That feeling permeated everyday life/tasks in my opinion. I liked the French overall but had a hard time adapting to their ways that felt cold to me as an American. For instance they weren't huggers and were less open to smile to strangers and welcome them. I don't think it was due to them being mean or rude at all, it was just a vast cultural difference. You all may do your kisses with strangers, but depending on the people here we may often hug complete strangers as a greeting. It doesn't take long to get to know someone well enough to hug and be close here. Rambling a bit. Just some things I noticed.

Anywhere cold and self sufficient. The further into the mountains and away from communal utilities the fewer niggers. The last strong holds, I believe, are the Dakotas, Montana, Idaho, Nebraska and all of NV away from the two big cities. Some of those areas might be heavy in Indians/Indios/mestizos/castizos, but I can tolerate that as long as they are white acting. It's nearly impossible for me to be at ease around a nig.
