I've engaged in "bromances" before. We grew similar facial hair, took up the same hobbies, and generally were really cool together. But kissing and cuddling never even entered my mind. Any notion of homoeroticism was totally out of the question.

I think a lot of gay men are "aspirational" for more straight guys to keep an open mind. They wish everyone else was gay too.
