George Webb at one point seemed to suggest that the police are actually legally obligated to file a ballistics report for a murder that involves a gun in Washington DC. Is this the case?

I know that there is a lawsuit filed in an effort to get the ballistics report for Seth Rich's murder from the DC police because the police haven't filed the report yet.

I wonder if Mike/Mark Mueller took that picture since he claims "He was there when Seth Rich was shot" The whole thing seemed very crisis actory to me. He made it sound like police wheeled him on a stretcher up to Mike to ask if he knew Seth Rich, which would just not happen. Also Seth Rich was awake and had his wallet with ID. I am sure there is a way to look up DC laws, better if we knew a lawyer. I have a friend who is a detective im trying to get a hold of to ask some legal questions reguarding this case.

I asked what he thought about the police denying Rod wheeler access to security footage and the autopsy report.

He said : They would be in an incredible amount of trouble if they gave him any information and compromised the investigation. That would go against every rule in the book.

I asked Could the family use the freedom of information act to get the footage released to the public?

He said: Not during an active investigation.

I asked: How long is an investigation open for before it becomes a cold case?
He said: Depends at least a few months could be a few years, Cold cases are like 10 years plus.


I asked: I thought footage was released to the public usually to see if anyone knows the suspects (like surveillance footage) like on crime stoppers

He said: It would be specific and is a bit of a last resort
You would try a ton of stuff before that
You would go door to door in the area that happened and ask around first

I said: Yeah the neighbourhood where he lived had tons of cameras because they had an incentive rebate program, I think there was like 50 cameras on that street, the cops only took footage from 1
and that was at the corner store. Maybe there was only one camera close enough to where it happened but that seems odd to me

He said: Depends on the quality of the cameras and what they were facing and lighting conditions. A camera that doesn't seen anything wouldn't help. How do we know that he's really dead anyways maybe he's on an island with Tu-Pac


I said:That is another theory. Seth Rich was jewish, some people think he is in a witness protection program in Isreal, does that ever happen?
