>>
Guys would you prefer Davis or Boris as PM, Davis seems like he knows what the fuck he's doing in relation to brexit as he had to negotiate all the maastricht treaty and all that bollocks but Boris as PM would make the Tory party a laughing stock. I really don't see how the Tories can get us both a decent brexit deal and a decent majority.
>>
>>129515815

Davis is a bit of a bore, but he's a firm hand on the tiller kind of MP. Also has some working class cred, unlike the rest of the chinless coked up cousin fuckers in the party.

Boris is a buffoon. He's not particularly smart or witty, he's just verbose and bumbling. Great for deputy PM or a TV presenter, but a fucking awful party leader.

It's because they'd have to have a prime minister who can win (I know that sounds retarded) because their government will inevitably collapse and although labour will struggle to get as high as a vote percentage they did this time (the youths will not turn out again) they need to start swinging the vote the conservatives way and actually get a strong majority.

Alright, I don't think I've told you lot this.

I was a pretty happy lad. Girlfriend, nice cosy job. A bunch of stuff happened with my mum and her partner. Nasty domestic abuse stuff. Ex-partner and I had a huge fight, should have been arrested, police turn up and they turned a blind eye to me breaking his nose, but through all this, Mum puts dad in touch with me for the first time in 20 years.

He's a massive bloater. Like huge.

Dies about three months later. Was 58, didn't actually have to die, but suddenly the man I've spent my life thinking I could maybe live up to and maybe he'd come back, shows up, shits himself to death, and when it comes to the funeral, his Russian wife (nice lady actually) has asked for an open casket.

On the morning of the funeral I'm smoking a fag and taking nips out a hippy with my mad uncle. Funeral director sidles over.

"Are you the son?"

"Yes?"

"Aye, there's been a problem, yer da, he sort of err...burst..., we got most of it a in a bin bag though."

A bit of a mess for a few years.

Wake up and realise this isn't how a man lives.

Here we are.

Choriza May won the most seats but few than 50% meaning that she can't rely on her party to push through legislation. This effectively paralyses the government unless they make deals with the other parties all of which hate the Tories. The only party which might play ball are the DUP who are basically like /pol/ but with actual balls but the more liberal Tories hate the idea and may rebel against it and the DUP see the Tories as filthy degenerates so it's going to be fin times

actually finding another one in the near future is irrelevant. the important thing is to stop caring about this one and if she contacts you it's very important that you ignore the first attempt. If she sends a second text/call then maybe respond but not to the first. it's an exercise in discipline and also shows that you don't put pussy on a pedestal, which is the most attractive trait that a man can have

Har har har. Le Tories, le Cameron.

I've never voted for them and I never will. I realise that they aren't true conservatives; that they've become a pathetic mish-mash of Blairite social policies and Thatcherite economic policies, and that the Tories are actually the biggest factor preventing the emergence of a real right wing party in this country. In essence, they're the second biggest cancer in British politics today (directly behind you and your band of shitposters).

But quick, call me a member of the Bullingdon Club. Call me a pig fucker. Call me a Tory shill. Because if you pretend that I'm a Tory, you can switch off your brain and not think about the problems with your ideology or you shitty little party - you can just drag it right back to tribalist slap fights.

HAHA CORBYN MEMES HAHA VOTE FOR CORBYN LEL

Ironically, you want a hyper-centralised government (with you in charge, presumably), but you can't even convince a bunch of weebs that you're anything other than a slimy puddle of dog shit. You're not smarter than anyone here - not even Pube.

Do us all a big favour and just fucking die.

Not only have the Tories continued Blair's policy of mass migration in the hundreds of thousands of people, net in, but it was Thatcher's government who initiated mass migration, both parties are probably doing it to create a massive excess in the workforce, which then devalues their labour, which means that (((big business))) can then demand lower wages. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdZp5iw-UEo

Labour had a majority of 3 in 1974, and in 1977 had lost that via defections and by-elections, and still didn't leave until 1979. Of course, they didn't get into power until 1997 after that, but swings and roundabouts.

If the Tories can last until partway through 2018 with DUP support, they can implement the boundary changes, removing one of Labour's advantages.

The point is that most people tend to grow out of socialism by age 30. If all the people who believed in socialism when they were 18 still believed in it when they were 25 then raising the voting age to 25 wouldn't actually make a socialist government less likely. That fact that socialists know that raising the voting age to 25 would make it impossible for a socialist party to ever win an election shows that most of them know deep down that socialism is retarded.

Honestly, I think that's a bit of a myth. If you actually look at voting behaviour, while people tend to lean a little more conservative when they get older, the main factor is more of a generational thing; what kind of situation did you grow up in and what kind of political events formed the backdrop of your formative years. This generation basically grew up the backdrop of the failure of neoliberal free market economics, the housing crisis, and all that shit.

The older generations support the status quo since on the whole, they've probably done a lot better out of it than the young ever will. They keep saying that this generation will be the first to actually be poorer than their parents. You also have to factor into just how much technological change fits into that paradigm.

Honestly, in my opinion, the Labour manifesto actually probably doesn't go far enough. It's still state capitalism with just a lot more public funding. That's not socialism.
>>
>>129524646
Not even close. More like:
>Be poor
>Used to get tax credits to make up money on shitty co-operative pay grade
>tax credits now cut, and living wage not for under 25s
>Barely making money to survive
>Food bank gives you some leverage

I used to work in retail myself and you'd be surprised how common that sort of story is. People having to work 2 jobs at 7 hour shifts a piece, shifts back to back to try and make ends meet as a single parent who's spouse left them for some bird they met at a pub. It's all too common a story.

You're still talking about state capitalism though, not socialism. That said, there are plenty of countries in the world operating with laws similar to these manifesto pledges who seem to be doing just fine for the moment.

>>129526471
The highest suicide rates I'm seeing are actually pretty poor third world countries with the exception of nations like South Korea and Japan, which are pretty hardcore free-market capitalist actually, with very little state support. Doesn't really help your argument much. Suicide rates can also be determined many other factors such as population density.

I just don't fathom it.

I have a friend who's a self confessed lazy arsehole. He takes all the bennies he can get. Disability (mental health of course), Job seekers, food stamps, the lot. The only thing he doesnt get is child support because no bint would touch him in his current state.

Yet he could work two days a week and earn more than what he receives per month from all that shit.

I think honestly the most annoying thing is the constant poo-pooing from armchar pundits who thing think they understand how economics work, but treat it pretty much like a personal budget. Our economy is more or less built on the need for perpetual growth, so with the austerity policies, where we deliberately stifle our growth rate, it just seems like utter economic-illiteracy to me.
