I feel The United States of America truly defines postmodernism.

Sure America has a lot of cool and shiny things but there are so many forms of structural violence and poverty that exist within these borders. The massive immigration and disenfranchisement of nationalism and pc culture are major examples.

Alimony and child support while only being able to see your child a couple times a month is another form of structural violence and poverty.

The welfare system, where the biggest pieces of shit in the world sit on their fat fucking asses and waste people's tax payer money while there are those out there that work 16 hours a day and can't stop working that much because their life depends on it-even welfare couldn't fix the overworker's situation.

The fear mongering and the fear porn and the confusion of basic information and so on and so forth condition people to become meek and timid and not sure how to look at the world.
