In my opinion, conservative art revolves less around paintings and music and more about construction, invention, and innovation. The art from the conservative side revolves around creating grand structures and new technologies. Take Albert Speer's architecture for example. It's beautiful, reminiscent of a modern era roman empire, made more efficient.

The title of the painting is, not surprisingly, 'Runaway'

Another example, 'The Fighter', portrays a scrappy, tomboyish looking girl sat outside the principle's office. Her hair is messed up, her skirt torn, her ribbons ripped out, and she spots a nasty looking shiner on her eye... clearly she was in a fight... yet the beaming smile on her face tells us, at least, how the fight went.

This is the trademark of most of Norman Rockwell's work - nothing terribly transcendent or awe-inspiring, just little slices of American, middle-class life.

Another of my personal favorites, "The Gossips" is pretty self-explanatory in what it's portraying, but it also exemplifies my favorite feature of Rockwell's work; his style has this wonderful tendency to be almost 100% photo-realistic, but usually with just a tiny hint of caricature in the features of the people, like the wide-eyed expressions of kids in some of the Christmas paintings, or the grins and and smiles of some of the characters. Despite exaggerating their features, it makes many of the people in his paintings seem more real.
