As an ethnic Italian, I find Italian politics amusing. In America, we don't think much about Europe's past, and so just assume that the Italian peninsula has been unified since as long as anyone can remember. But you guys all hate one another, don't you?

Which regions would you recommend to someone visiting your country? Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna always seemed like nice places to me.
