You see, California has a prop system in which a number of specified counties vote on a law, which is forced through the California legislature if it gets a majority vote. HSU in Humboldt. Not necessarily hugely large, but annoyingly liberal. That should change, though, because it's part of the California State University system (not to be confused with the UC system).
