Japanese GDP growth has been lower than average of OECD for over two decades.
Japanese economic system are damaged by this low growth rate.
Our social welfare system strongly dependent on growth.
So here, We have only two choice. Accept immigrants or collapse society.

Kek, no. Its all false, I'm from NZ and heres what is happening.
Basically our government wanted to keep GDP growth high, so it has been bringing in 100k+ people each year, essentially collapsing our infrastructure to the point of paying billions for projects that were originally for years from now. It has caused a housing crisis among other things.
So if you take our growth of 2.8%, 2% of that growth is just immigration, were as real growth was 0.8%, so you have to ask yourself, what do you want? Sustainable population on a small island or economic growth? Then, we are actually having that growth because GDP per person hasn't moved a fucking inch, so actually, we are becoming worse off each day.
