It's good for Europe simply because of collective trade deals with the rest of the world. We in the US hate it due to bi-lateral agreements with each country being way more beneficial. Additionally their collective defense is emboldened by sharing a currency because article 5 of NATO would be impossible to ignore when a country using their currency is under attack, in this sense it is good for the U.S. Outweighing pro's and con's and the fact that Article 5 is not contingent upon the EU it would be better for the U.S. if it were broken up. Also the national identities and cultures of all these formally sovereign nations are being systematically destroyed.

Why is the EU bad? The EU has failed to militarily mobilize Europe against Russian aggression. It's failed to bring Europe together to bring a solution to the migration crisis. It's failed to deliver a proper counter terrorism response. And it's failed to create economic stability amongst many of it's nations. All the EU does is violate the sovereignty of 26 nations and allow a tiny minority in Brussels to virtual signal on behalf of hundreds of millions of diverse individuals. It especially bad because bureaucrats in the essentially nonstate of Belgium decide the fate of all of Europe. Decide the borders of all of Europe.
