I opened a facebook account when it first became mainstream, this had to have been like 10 years ago or so, but over the years it just repulsed me more and more to see how superficial and competitive people tried to make it. I never deactivated my account but I've hardly used it over the last ~6-7 years, I'll log in maybe once a year if I really want to contact someone who I have no other way of contacting.
