The constituency he ran in is the one May represents. He received 0.4% of the vote. It amounted to nothing. The House of Lords cannot pass laws or block them from passing, they can only debate, delay and recommend ammendments. Abolishing it is talked about sometimes but not a lot because it doesn't have any real power, much like the monarch. Nobody gives a shit about the house of lords.

Your electoral college sent Trump into the white house with a general vote deficit of 3 million votes. Our system is unfair in terms of votes vs seats in parliament, but to my knowledge we've never had something like that happen. The principle of democracy should come first no matter which way you swing.
