All of the world's governments are starting to move in a similar direction in regards to internet access. Unfiltered speech makes it impossible to successfully control any narrative. The age of the radio & tv set information monopoly is over, and the only thing users really have to worry about when using the internet is measuring their own bias against the bias of the sources they "picked". Intellectually it might require more effort on the part of the user since he has to be more vigilant frequently when assessing information received, but it's no different than what the MSM & governments did to us before the internet. And boy, do they lie just as much as the next random shitposter.

Their argument can be summed up as such, "we're trying to protect you from your own bias". And that's a shit-tier case to make.
