I fully agree. I realised the other day, because I was too focused on being "redpilled" I was doing stupid shit with my life I really shouldn't do.

When I was a leftist, I was always insecure about my opinions and politics because I thought they reinforced certain attitudes in myself that exacerbated or created problems. I was always worried about speaking up and being personally attacked.
When I shifted to the right I felt the same way. There are plenty of examples of both sides slandering people and both like to suggest that all of a persons personal shortcomings are directly related to their politics and mercilessly ridicule them.

Some of their targets are being huge assholesand really asking for it but most are just people voicing their opinions.
I have to say I think it's a bit more of a slap in the face coming from the left who so heavily emphasize tolerance and empathy.
Their goodwill towards people who struggle with mental illness, childhood abuse, etc. is abruptly withdrawn if they say the wrong thing even by accident. And legitimate causes for inner turmoil will be used to ridicule offenders and dismiss their opinions.
