The United States decided to make money off of selling weaponry during times of war for profit, Canada remained neutral and made no money from participating. As a matter of fact; they lost money. The major differences haven't emerged since recent years, as Canada has become more multicultural (bad decision making) and has decided to strip it's citizens of most rights that your average American would have.
