Hi point carbine is fun as fuck. 9mm out of a 16 inch barrel flies hot and sweet out to about 150 yds. Great gun for home defense too, because it's short and light and won't fuck your hearing like a shotty (plus you wont sweat having it seized if you actually gudboi some floating eyes and teeth). Have yet to have a jam on mine, and it eats all kinds of 9mm.

Downside: ugly as sin and the bolt doesnt like to properly lock back on empty mag

The pistols are good beaters or truck guns that you dont worry about much, and apparently reasonably reliable and durable. Bulky as all fuck though, so dont plan on taking it anywhere.

Carbine...not too keen on the .45. Ammo capacity is dick, and it's much cheaper to feed a 9mm if you're shooting steel or dicking around. I'm sure they're fine though. I went with the 9 because I CC and OC a 9 and have lots of it lying around.

Love the 45, if your not worried about the cost of rounds. It can take a slightly modified 1911 mag, so you can get them in the extended variety.

If carbine length rifle that shoots handgun ammo is what you're looking into check out the Just Right carbine. It's just a little more than a high point and ten times better quality. I've been plinking 9mm hand loads with sig mpx carbine at 100 yards, it's fairly accurate. You can do amazing things with hand gun ammo if that's what you're looking for, but I personally would take a bolt .308 like a tikka or a 783 that can do long range accuracy. They're cheap ~$400 and really more of a man's rifle
