>Marc Rich, a fugitive who had fled the U.S. during his prosecution, was residing in Switzerland. Rich owed $48 million in taxes and was charged with 51 counts of tax fraud, was pardoned of tax evasion. He was required to pay a $1 million fine and waive any use of the pardon as a defense against any future civil charges that were filed against him in the same case. Critics complained that Denise Eisenberg Rich, his former wife, had made substantial donations to both the Clinton library and to Mrs. Clinton's senate campaign. According to Paul Volcker's independent investigation of Iraqi Oil-for-Food kickback schemes, Marc Rich was a middleman for several suspect Iraqi oil deals involving over 4 million barrels (640,000 m3) of oil.[24] Longtime Clinton supporters and Democratic leaders such as former President Jimmy Carter, James Carville and Terry McAuliffe, were all critical of the Clinton pardon. Carter said the pardons were "disgraceful."[25]
>Federal prosecutor Mary Jo White was appointed to investigate the pardon of Marc Rich. She was later replaced by then-Republican James Comey, who found no illegality on Clinton's part.

They were both telling the truth, Comey corroborated everything Trump said.

He never colluded with Russia.

If anything, the most telling thing about the testimony is Loretta Lynch tired to push for a political party talking point to become norm when talking about the Clinton investigation.

In the Fast & Furious "scandal", at no point was ever Obama implicated, or any politically appointed bigwig in the Obama administration. The same goes for every other phony "scandal" during the Obama years.

Drumpf's been in office for a couple of month and already he, his National Security Advisor, his Attorney General and his Son-in-Law have been implicated in unethical and possibly criminal behavior.

My interpretation as an outsider who has no allegiance to either. Comey is autistic. He thinks Trump is clever enough to suggest things subliminally and talk between the lines. Example: 'Flynn is a good guy, I hope you can let this go'. Is just normal human-to-human, not President 4D chess 'let this go Comey and you can keep your job'. Likewise with the 'Tell the public I'm not under investigation'. Trump is retarded as fuck, he's not a politician and doesn't know how to conduct himself in the world of politics. He wasn't ordering Comey to speak to the public. Comey is autistic and very naive for the leader of the FBI. He's an honest man with good principals and he very clearly puts the law above party politics.

So if it's a Comey vs Trump, I trust Comey more. But in this scenario about the Russia shit, I trust Trump too. He has no personal collusion with them.

The same fake news that covered for Obama and downplayed his administrations treasonous actions?

The media spent days wildly speculating whether or not Trump would use executive privilege to keep Comey from testifying (he didnt, literally nothing to hide) and they spent days (and continue to spend days) ignoring that Obama did indeed attempt to use EP to keep Holder from testifying about F&F, because criminal niggers stick together.

Woah woah woah, you have obviously stumbled into the wrong neighborhood. This is the T_D image board not some crazy backwards political board!

Your narrative is all wrong. Here are the facts!

Obama is going to jail tomorrow because he is a nigger and as such his "scandal free" presidency is a made up MSM lie.
Hilary will be joining her because even though everyone of note has said that she will never be prosecuted: She will be tried in the court of MAGA!

Trump and all of his Administration are just good ole' boys and ain't doin' no-one no harm.

The Russia "scandal" is all MSM fake news! It is just a coincidence that every time it comes out that Trump's transition team was talking to officials of another country and lied/obscured/hid the fact its always Russia. The country that just so happens to have been implicated in waging a cyber-war to get Trump into office.

Sessions, Flynn, Manafort, Kushner, etc are all just fans of old pals of Sergei.

Let's get fucking real for a moment.

If the boss of your boss:

Constantly asks you for your "loyalty" when your department is supposed to have a firewall isolating you from his influence
Finds ways to pressure you into being alone with him at dinner and in meetings
Specifically asks your boss to fuck off so he can speak with you

A) He wants something from you off the books

Comey did not leak until after he was fired, because he believed that - in the face of an FBI director having been fired for investigating the president - that special counsel was needed to insulate the investigation from Trump's political considerations.

>In Comey's own words he stated Trump didnt pressure him.
Quote, please.

>Comey was fired for obvious reasons.
"I said to myself, I said you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up story."

Nice evidence you have there - oh wait, you have none.

>C) Repubcunts have no bearing on the legal implications of facts

That a former cabinet member implicates a current President of the same party of criminal obstruction of justice goes against all incentives in place for being a team player. Clearly there's more weight to publicly accusing people of the same team, since the act cant be attributed to partisanship.

NOT. AN. ARGUMENT.

>D) OP is a faggot

OP is the person who starts the thread. You must be new here. Not an argument.

E) Machiavellian politics suggest that Comey's political self-interest trumps partisanship

Comey's self-interest suggests that he should do what his boss wants him to do and maybe he would still have a job.

Not an argument.

No.

The president has full authority to fire an ineffective employee, doesnt he?
Yes.

The president was never the target of the investigation, so you point is a non-argument based in ignorance, isnt it?
Absolutely.

lol, you argue as if you know the facts, then display your ignorance to them. Was stated, again, yesterday.

He was fired because he wasnt the right man for the job. He played politics and allowed himself to be played with as a pawn. Unless he violated an NDA or leaked classified information, he is merely recounting something that happened to him. Trump had the opportunity to assert executive privilege and declined.

He has the authority to bomb anyone he likes, too, but it doesn't mean he shoudl use it.

His campaign was the target of the investigation.

Comey even said he didn't talk to Trump but like two times. He doesn't know Trump's character & seems to have trouble with even the basic conversation.

He wouldn't look Trump in the eyes, he kept trying to excuse himself, and he just had a brief phone conversation with Trump. Which Comey ended by making up an excuse.

>T: "Flynn is a good guy, I hope you can let this go."

What he meant was:

>T: "Flynn is a great guy. Don't drag his name through the mud, you sleazy weasel."

What Comey heard:

>T: "Flynn is a great guy. Now drop it or else I'll grab you by your balls & buttfuck you until you drop it. If you squeal, I'll tell your wife, after I fuck her. After which I'll kill you & your family, bury them in the desert & no one will know. So drop it, comrade."

>Answer the fucking question. Piss-poor deflection will get you nowhere.
What sort of answer were you looking for? Yes. The President has the legal authority vested in him to fire anyone he likes. This does not mean that all such uses of said authority are acceptable. I then drew an analogy with dropping bombs on arbitrary countries. The authority to do somemthing does not mean that it is being properly exercised.

>That's not what you said, is it? Your argument constantly shifts.
You're right. I will correct my statement. Donald Trump was not the target of the investigation, but his campaign was, and James Comey and other senior FBI individuals believed that Donald Trump might become an object of investigation.

>>
>>129204488
>T: "Flynn is a great guy. Don't drag his name through the mud, you sleazy weasel."

Could do with a bit of elaboration on the situation. After Obama weaponized the IC to go after his political enemies (as pinkos are prone to do), they utilized unorthodox unmasking oof names, along with laxed intel-sharing policies recently instituted by Obama via EO to spread Flynn's name far and wide, ensuring as many leaks as possible.

Flynn never committed a crime, he never had to. The protections afforded to him (and the rest of us) had been stripped and his name was spread far and wide along with news headlines pushing fake guilt and conspiracy.

Had he been treated with the respect due to citizens (scorned by Obama admin) they wouldnt have been able to further weaponize intel and the media against Trump.

Weird how Comey can just matter-of-factly announce that Loretta Lynch pressured him on the Clinton investigation. Meanwhile it's Trump who's facing the most intense scrutiny in history for saying "I hope".

History will show that the double-think really started to rise when Dems went from "Bush must be investigated for Iraq War lie!" to completely silent once Obama got in, even though they had super-majorities and could have actually gone after the war criminals if they actually cared.

But it's actually Trump who's the real bad guy, for facetiously saying he could kill a guy. Not Bush/Clinton/Obama who have literally killed millions.

Comey acknowledged that the Steele dossier was a fabrication. He took the liberty of indicating reaching out to Donald Trump as Obama's head of the FBI telling him about it.

>I mean seriously, the flashing neon signs pointing to Russia, supposedly left by pros, isnt suspicious at all?
This is nation-state level warfare. Stuxnet was traced to Israel by private security companies, and Israel's hackers are fantastic. The sinking of Github was linked to Chinese state agencies, who are less fantastic. The fact that the CIA was able to figure something out doesn't mean that it was something was deliberately leaving around clues. It means that the CIA is a well-resourced intelligence agency with great technical resources.

Ali and Don King used to be the type of niggers that southern boys held up as exemples of the loudmouth animalistic djungle nigger banter and the death of common courtesy and civilized behavior which became the new norm due to the death of Jim Crow.

Trump's been count in lies all the time, people who support him will move the goal posts anytime you bring these lies up, or they'll delude themselves into thinking some bullshit about 4D chess, or "that wasn't what we meant" when it clearly was.

Look, the thing here is simply, Comey's testimony did not say Trump did anything illegal. If Comey was lying wouldn't his testimony have shown wrongdoing on Trump's part? There's no reason to believe Comey is lying.

Trump's lies, in this situation, are not really that important. He embellishes the truth and twists things to make himself appear in the best light possible, that's just what someone like Trump does, that's what any businessmen does. It's to be expected.

I think Comey is telling the truth, and I think Trump is talking the way he always has. I don't think it matters that much however because nothing Comey said proves Trump did anything illegal.

Was it inappropriate? Yeah. Was it embarrassing behavior? I think so. Was it illegal? No. Will it get him impeached? No.

Trump's entire presidency will be shrouded in doubt and rumor, but I have no doubt he'll serve out his 4 years, however, people who are thinking he'll serve 8 after all this drama are out of their minds, the republican party themselves will push him out at the end of his term just to have some normalcy back.

tl;dr Comey isn't lying, but it doesn't matter, because according to him Trump didn't do anything illegal.

Try to see past your emotions and see the big picture here guys. Trump's not perfect, but at least he isn't a criminal (at least in this instance)

Yeah but he's allowed to do that. Freedom of speech applies to everyone, even the president. He wants to say dumb shit and lie? He's allowed, as long as it's not under oath, which as of yet it has not been.

I don't like Trump, but he's no where NEAR as bad as people make him out to be. I even doubt the "clouded with Russia" thing is true at all. I think the reason he fights it so hard is not because it's true, but because of the implication:

If the Russians helped Donald Trump win, that means he didn't do it on his own. That hurts his pride. That's why Trump fights it so hard. He's prideful, he wants people to know he won on his own merits, not because he cheated.

Im not denying that coal is on its way out, what im saying is that the US faces the most pressure to not only hand out free gibs but to forcibly downsize our economy, while allowing countries that pollute more free reign to do whatever. It doesnt make sense why the US is the biggest target. As trump said this deal is less about climate and more about reorganization of the worlds wealth. If we had a deal where US, china, india and other big players had the same rules and restrictions and actually focused on the environment instead of shit like"migrant crisis" i would be much more likely to support it. Everything the US would do in this deal would mean nothing with how much china and india are allowed to grow, this is not a positive for the world as a whole

I'll address this one as you seem to be intellectually genuine.

Renewable energy is currently a growth market with the numer of employable positions expanding as coal jobs contract. Yes you could ring blood from the stone of US Coal but in the process you would be wasting personnel that could be shifted to jobs in "Green" Energy. In the meantime: Coal is inefficient, polluting actively a health hazard to its workers.

Trump could completely disregard any part of the accord that actually was a negative to the US but instead he declares a blanket leaving of the accords and now the relevant States (including the one he kept harping on during his speech) are going to implement it down to the letter and surpass it because they understand that the short-term loss of US Coal pales in comparison to the loss if you let Coal go along on life-support when you should be shifting to Solar and Wind

Im somewhat for renewable energy, although i think new nuclear technologies are safer and less harmful to the environment as a whole. Are you an idiot? States have already declared that they are going to adhere to the accords mandates. You can agree to a mandate and follow it without signing a paper with other countries that lock themself into the same mandate.

Of course the Bahamas nigger is a retard:
>constantly makes arguments about Trump that require you assume the context he adds is actually there and legitimate
>thinks climate change is responsible for every drop of rain and gust during hurricane season
>thinks bahamas was "swiss bank of the west" making switzerland not in the west?
>thinks his shitty island nation wasnt desperate for paris accord simply because they desperately need our money.
>>
>>129215048
I like how even in your fantasies you rely on foreigners avoiding taxes to support your niggered-up economy. You'll never abandon the dollar because you rely too much on tourists to spend it before they realize your nation smells like a fucking dumpster.

Also it's funny that you refer to Trump as the "former leader of the free world" as if you were ever among its member states.

Burger Tier Public Education on show.

Guess the Chinese money flowing into our economy is as fake as the "Fake News" that you and Trump keep crying about.

Funfact; China just build one of the largest multi-hotel resort properties in the world in our Capitol.

But yeah, we are just starving for your gibs.

The parts of the Paris Accord that Trump objected to most vocally were the bullshit cash hand outs to third world shit holes, such as yours. Emissions reductions within that shitty construct are meaningless because they were never the point to begin with, you fucking moor pirate rape baby. Finally, Jerry Brown doing an end run around the Framer's intent does not make him any less a traitor, just like me paying someone to gas your insignificant island does not make me any less a national hero.

>Drumpf has been implicated in obstruction of justice by a freeking cabinet level Bushie republicunt.

Sure thing:

>SEN. JOHN CORNYN (R-TEX.):

>Of course, it was the former attorney general Loretta Lynch, who up until that meeting with President Clinton, was the person responsible for making the decision whether to convene a grand jury involving the allegations against Secretary Clinton. And it was former attorney general Loretta Lynch who apparently forbade you from using the word investigation. Indeed, if the New York Times story is true, a Democratic operative expressed confidence that the former attorney general would keep that investigation from going very far.

If you want to know who Comey's masters are: just figure out who he was not allowed to criticize.

>China is raping us dry, therefore we are significant
You are pathetic
>>
>>129215526
>china just built a resort!
>n-never mind that it's a drop in the bucket compared to what has already been invested here

lol, still, your only claim to economic success is the success of others and how well you do with the scraps they leave for you.

Fucking pathetic nigger from pathetic nigger island.

Then a smart politician would quietly reduce the amount the US pays into the Green Fund.

A braggart bull in a China Store leaves the accords in full while the States individually tell him to fuck off and follow it anyway.

I never said we werent taking advantage of you, that's what the strong do to their intellectually inferior toys. It's just funny that you think the chinese are your way out of being someone's defacto subjects.

I'm going to thank God today that I wasn't born on his shit hole Antilles sewage receptacle, the offspring of pirate rapists from North West Africa and Iberia. When I flush a bowel movement, it winds up on his island. That is his place in the world, now and forever.

Indeed. I've visited both the bahamas and a literal desert island in the lesser antilles, and the barren rock was infinitely preferable.

Not the least of which, the Chinese are going to teach this saltwater coon a flurry of lessons in top tier Jewry. I laugh at his nations pathetic future and I hope that all of Gore's most apocalyptic predictions come true so I can watch him floating in the ocean with an orange life vest, desperately trying to reach America's shores.
