We don't automatically personify such forces. So, God must have a human face for another reason... and that is because it is something to strive towards. It's a reflection of our ideal selves.

Lovecraft's Gods have mastered the truth that Lovecraft valued, as a lover of science, but have become something other than human as he knew it in the process.

I think with Lovecraft's stories, and with dark fantasy influenced by it (Warhammer, for example) we may be witnessing new archetypes forming. I don't know about you lads. But I love a Kek thread. All the Kek hate and hostility has got me thinking that may be the shills really hate Kek and want to see him forgotten. They fear his influence. I believe that Kek is a great totem and you should all be proud that your work is having an effect on society. There is no reason to abandon the project. Much more fun to be had. I don't think Lovecraft saw it as horrifying. I like Kenneth Grant's approach-Lovecraft sensed the Grand Return of the Ancient Gods, just like Crowley. What does it mean? Hell if we know. Do any of the Egyptian stories make sense to you? Does their way of life-an endless succession of inbred monsters that are treated like gods and even have a kind of human sacrifice given to them in form of laborious pyramids, and yet are killed by the priesthood on a regular basis? Does their obsession with death make sense to you?

That is not dead, etc., refers as much to the depths of our consciousness, harboring demons from time immemorial, as it does to R'lyeh. Why do we see Kek? Why is Pepe a thing? Crowley saw the same visions.

Yes. It absolutely does, from a Jungian perspective. All the things you mentioned were the people trying to figure out how they should live their lives. Yes, they got things wrong, just like our current society gets a lot wrong-- does it really make sense to be importing third world immigrants when our own population is flagging? Does it really make sense to put women to work for the same reason? Does it make sense to allow people in our society who are blindly devoted to marxism without even discussing on a society-wide scale the horrible things that Marxism caused?

Humanity has a unique problem, and that is that there's never one answer to our big questions that's going to be relevant across all time. We have to adapt, we have to reshape our consciousness and our world. We change constantly, and not always in ways that make logical sense or really even benefit us-- but that's OK, as long as the outcome is predictable.
