>At a glance
Apparently Theresa May has no intention of resigning - working to form a govt based on being largest party in seats and votes, meaning some people will be tricked into thinking they are getting a hard brexit while still getting 300k+ migration per year
DUP already outlining a soft brexit as part of the terms for propping up an enfeebled Tory party
SNP getting blown the fuck out
Exit poll proving to be correct so far
Nigel Farage will probably go back into politics.
Conservatives might just about win it.
Conservatives are just as bad as Labour
>Why did it happen?
The number of UKIP voters going to Labour was underestimated.
They ran a very insincere campaign.
U-turns on social issues undermined her authority.
People fell victim to the soft brexit meme.
Manifesto negatively impacted Tory voting core.

Democracy is about people working together to make a better country. Politics is supposedly about working for the better good of the people. Yet every party is a conglomeration of selfish interests. If anything this election shows that the people have had enough of this bullshit. They want government to work for them and not for the few elite rich fuckers. Only Labour + the other smaller parties offer this possibility *IF* the smaller parties are willing to work with them *FOR* the people and *NOT* for their own selfish interests. Conservative + DUP is *NOT* for the people! It will just be a messy grab to stay in power. Fuck the Conservatives! Fuck the selfish minorities!!

Ultimately, government must work for whoever controls it, and "the people" cannot control government. Every part of democratic politics is always a "messy grab to stay in power", or the same to take it. One cannot get rid of selfish interests
What can be done is to ensure that the selfish interests act in an orderly and predictable way such that the ruling selfish interests align with the good of the country. Such a system exists and has been used in the past.
Put away your democratic delusions and populist phantasms. Now is the time to recognise that absolute monarchy is the only solution to the problem of government.

NOTHING HAS CHANGED.
Brexit is still 'a happening'. The Tories will continue to steer Britain out of the EU with Brexit. But with a strong opposition against them. It will be harder for them to pass Bills through the Commons to become Acts of law. That will be all that is different from yesterday.
The Conservatives will still be our government, a minority government in coalition but still our government here in the UK.

>MSM telling you that Brexit is over
Please anon, don't be this stupid.
May was experiencing record levels of approval (along with the Tories in general) prior to the election campaign. Why? Because people thought they were going to deliver diamond hard Brexit and uncuck us. Turns out they were faggots and botched their lead.
A lot of Labour Brexit supporters went back to Corbyn on the premise that he is a Leaver at heart and only supported Remain due to internal pressure. Whether that pressure is off, remains to be seen. But Brexit is alive and people want it. The Remain parties (Greens and LibDems) have extremely limited support. Tells you all you need to know.
End of the day, May wanted this election to increase the majority so she wouldn't be beholden to the harder Brexit elements in the party. Thankfully she failed. She just needs to be convinced to resign and have someone useful take over. Conservatives with DUP might actually deliver best Brexit.
We will just have to wait and see.

Childless, like most Euro leaders. political and religious obsessives don't have kids because their version of the after life (society remade in the image of their imaginary friend / ideology) is more important to them than actual genetic immortality.
The innate desire to create and nurture children is missing or subsumed by their obsession.
Basically her view point of reality is broken, which is why she came out with the 'censor and spy on everyone' policy before the election.
She couldn't see that it would turn off a lot of the young and free thinking.
FWIW I'm a childless, politically obsessed former ministerial lobbyist. By the time I had developed the introspection to realize that children are the next society and a vital part of a sane life, the opportunity was gone. May and her ilk have never developed that introspection.

All honesty, it's going to be chaos as even with a "majority" labour and the other parties have a great deal of control in Parliament now.
DUP want open borders with ireland, meaning that a "no deal and leave EU" is out of the question. And her teaming up with the DUP means that there's going to be some resistance from the more left leaning tory MPs against her.
