heh, I just woke up and missed the whole circus.

The President's Attorney just made a really bad mistake. He accused him of releasing privileged communications between them; thereby, invoking executive priv. This is a bad idea because it acknowledges the contents of those memos. I'm a fairly low level attorney at firm that sometimes reps conservatives (Pittman), but even my higher ups are saying the same thing. Shit, put me in a court with Kasowitz and I could get that in as an admission. I know that it may not seem like much, but there's two issues: 1.) There's Circuit Court precedent on the "hope" issue, which isn't good for our Pres. 2.) It builds the case against him; however, minor the case may be. Picture it this way, if Mueller is successful at finding other minor attempts to calm the Flynn inquiry and Dems win the House (which they are VERY likely to do in 2018), then we have a big fucking procedural problem. It's called the Dems only need a majority of House votes to initiate impeachment proceedings due to a bullshit indictment of O.of J. The Senate might be the jury, but you're out of your mind if you think the deep state is going to stick with Trump at that point. The consensus around our office is the shut-the-fuck-up rule. We literally tell our clients (in nicer way, sometimes not so nice) to shut the fuck up once we have signed the retainer. Otherwise, we withdraw immediately. We don't do press exposure. Bad for business.
