They would more than likely vote Republican if they joined the Union. The pro-Commie inclination comes from being pro-community, pro-family, pro-small town. It's not that far from being National *Socialist*. On a small-scale, family-first, community-first seems reasonable.

On a large-scale, it fails - because those in power only enrich their small-scale families - letting the countries suffer. Those who flee those commie countries usually are all the more perma-raged for the betrayal (and hate commies decades later).

Healthy capitalism is another way the pro-Commie inclination fails. The Pro-Commie "social net" seems appealing at first. I have a couple cousins fresh from Cuba who really hated Capitalism (no one helps each other!)..... but in Cuba, taxi drivers can make more money than doctors (and both these cousins had medical degrees). Once they became legal, and could work in medicine, they switched to rabidly pro-Capitalist.

(3) Also worth noting that most that I speak with absorb the nationalist dialogue a lot faster. While Anglos flip back-and-forth (due to their "white guilt"), Hispanics can see ourselves as a "benign wave" (wanting to integrate with the US and see it's influence spread "back home") - and vice versa, we can *see* the malign waves (in Europe).

Don't make it an Anglo vs Immigrant thing. Make it a Law & Order thing.

Also, during Brexit, plenty of Sikhs, Ghanan and Indian immigrants to Britain... were anti-immigrant... because the saw that "when this new wave commits crimes, they look like us, so we get in trouble".
