I think democracy is a fine idea, however representative democracy has been a total disaster. The voters almost never get what they voted for and that's completely undemocratic.

It depends what you mean by "best" exactly. Most of them have some kind of trade off.

Democracy's main benefit is that it tends to be fairly stable over long periods of time, so if things drift too far left then it swings right, and vice versa.

Totalitarian states on the far left or right which are high in authority tend to fail completely quite rapidly, in the 1900's it gave us the Nazi's and the Gulag both which resulted in untold millions dead.

Democracy seems to pretty good all things considered, but it still relies on violence and coercion, so it's not necessarily the most moral.

Absolute monarchy with a benevolent divine king and the right to keep and bear arms to topple malevolent kings or kings who stray away from God.

No they are not. Democracy, as I see it, is like a big star. It keeps growing, slowly but steadily, with the nucleus, the elite autocracy, staying pretty much the same all through out the growth process. This process takes really long, as you know, but the supernova is always inevitable, it has to come.
In a way Democracy is the materialization of the human spirit, it shows how much the human can take until it inevitably falls. All the corruption and degeneracy it can endure and still stay human.

Democracy is very good system as long as the populace takes part in the politics, economics and social aspects of the democractic state.

When the populace fails democracy becomes ripe for abuse (modern US, European Union as examples)

imo democracy is the best system, but not universal suffrage. The average person doesn't give a shit about politics, economics or corruption, they just vote for whoever gives more gibsmedats and are easily fooled ( just look at all the retards who unironically believe drumpf is going to blow up the world, even here in Poortugal). Only people with a useful universty degree and people who served int he military should be able to vote.

Benevolent dictatorship. A wise, effective leader loved by his people rules with an iron fist, his policies actually serve to better not just the nation, but the people. The Romans achieved this briefly, probably why they lasted for thousands of years.

Democracy, like communism, always looks good to the peasant masses but never works. Republics fall to degeneracy quickly. Monarchy and fascism is by far the most effective and desirable for a united ethnically pure nation.
