Loyalty is the opposite of 'everyone and everything has its price'. Loyalty is a value tied up in patriotism and love of our country. Years and years ago, immigrants coming to the US were thrilled to pledge their loyalty to their new country. They demonstrated that loyalty to their children and community. Now it is hard to imagine immmigrants feeling loyalty to the US! And that's why they dont assimilate. These days the whole concept of loyalty is old fashioned and irrelevant.
