I just realized that white people should be allowed to say nigger, and that it's racist for them NOT to be allowed to say nigger.
Hear this out.
White people are not 'white people' they're really just people. Like you and me, right? That's the not racist thing to say and believe.
So if that's true, it's sort of like telling black people "Yo, because you're black you can't eat double chocolate donuts. Don't even LOOK at a double chocolate donut. If you so much as take a single bite of a double chocolate donut you will lose your job and everyone will hate you."
In this metaphor, donuts are swear words/profanity.
"I'll lose my job? Why? Everyone will hate me, no forgiveness like if I ate another donut?"
"It's because black people 200 years ago would eat a double chocolate donut to get fat and then sit on people to crush them to death."
"Well damn! But can't you eat ANY donut to get fat and crush someone to death?"

Now people eat donuts with a lot of consequences, sometimes it causes joy, and sometimes it causes diabetes.
Using profane or derogatory words like the f word, or the n word, or a-hole etc. serve many purposes.
It could be said on purpose to make the other person as angry as possible, or hurt, because you're in a fight with them. Does it mean you're an actual racist? No, no it doesn't.
Is it mean? Yes. Should you do it in that context? No. But should it be more special than using the word a-hole? No, I don't think so.
So what about other uses. For a joke? It's a dang funny word. All taboo words are funny. They are made even funnier because they are outlawed by social norms. Telling white people they can't use nigger in a joke is like telling a child "don't you dare put that sock on! donnn't you put that sock on! OH! you aput it on! You rascal you."

Why? Because white people aren't white people. They're just people.
If you tell a person they can't do something and that they are the ONLY people who aren't allowed to do it you are BEGGING them to do it. "Everyone in the room can clap hands, but not you Johnny."

And finally there is just pracical usage of a profane word. Every profane word has more than one meaning. The word a-hole is not so much about the literal hole as it is about being a jerk.
The N word isn't so much about being black anymore - this isn't 200 years ago - it's also a synonym for the b-word.
Then there are the real racists. Just because someone uses a word or doesn't use a word it doesn't mean you can tell they are a racist magically from a single word. You need context. And we're adults acting like little children when we pretend the context of the N-word being said doesn't matter, and that JUST SAYING the word makes you a racist.
Which brings me to the final point. If white people are really just people, denying ONLY white people the ability to say the N-word, with consequences that are the same as for everyone else, is racist against white people.
NO swear word, or profane word, gets you 'good' consequences when used in many contexts, but you shouldn't get extra special bad treatment just for being white.
These white people are not slave owners for 200 years ago and there are a huge amount of white people who even 200 years ago didn't have anything to do with Africa or the African slave trade, so it's not even every white person's family tree whose to blame.
