I work a blue collar job full time. Labor intensive and most of the time I am outside in the elements. I sometimes go to the grocery store near my job for fresh food during my lunch. I seen a guy once buy 20$ worth of candy and chips and pull out the EBT card to pay for it all. This was a able bodied man. Needless to say it infuriated me.

A couple of weeks later in the same grocery store I seen a man buy some fresh chicken and 1 bottle of water, pulled out the EBT card. That did not piss me off as much.

It was the fact the people are abusing the system us working pay into and they are buying fucking trash with it. There should be mandatory drug testing, checking in proving you are actually looking for a job and overall a cut off date if you are able bodied.

I think your conception of who has a claim to what money is simplistic. The money they spend props up businesses. When you spend money someone else gets the money. Also, a lot of people in finance do far more harm to society (without any real productivity) than welfare monkeys that basically blow all their money on supporting businesses.
