That's the problem, they don't represent anything but themselves as politicians in a party with idealisms. If you run for a constituency you have to do somethign beneficial for it which means you are running for real genuine reasons and not because Marx said the money has to go to the bottom. Safe seats actually fuel governments getting into power that can ignore all of it, get their idealistic candidates elected cycle after cycle and it gets further away from representation and closer to elitism.
