Plus, he's still relatively young by political standards. He's only like 52 or something. So he has time to reconsider.

The Prime Minister is just whoever leads the party with the most seats in the House of Commons. And UKIP only have 1 (one) seat, and it isn't Nigel Farage. So he can't be PM.

To put it in American terms, imagine if your House Majority Leader automatically became the President. That's what happens in our system.
