that being said, the world is fucking miserable. realistically we have some more years (at minimum) before the world wakes the fuck up and/or the mass extinction goes down. in the meantime, poeple are going to dull themselves with something - whether it be meaningless sex, working constantly, drugs, video games, food, etc.

weed's pretty low on the totem pole of vices. that being said, it's still a drug, and drugs are bad. they're failed substitutes for something that was taken away from most of us when we were children.

I was a meth addict for quite awhile (8 years). obviously thats worse, but in many ways, it's bad on a level most dont even imagine, becuase the purpose of your life becomes centered around the drug. it's sorta like living a perfectly fulfilling life, in that you don't progress at all. literally at all. once you quit, your new life purpose becomes staying clean, which has equally little space for introspection.

whereas with weed, youre capable of living a semi-fulfilling life, and eventually you'll get bored, and hopefully begin taking steps towards a totally fulfilling life.

I have dopamine issues.
I did not smoke weed until I was 22.

I almost never produce very much dopamine, but then when something gets my attention just right, I can get flooded with it for hours and almost like mania, just focus on task.

outside of this happening, I generally lack motivation to do the smallest of things. Its almost like depression I guess but I don't feel upset... just.. like I lack energy.


this is all before weed.

now, I can pack a bowl, hit it once in the morning... and .. bam, im up and ready to go.

Its like a manual kickstart of the dopamine hose.


I also work a decent paying job (significantly above average for the area, but not six figures) and do a fucking great job.

I know weed can really reck your brain in puberty, but idk, after 22, I don't feel like its hurt me a noticeable bit. I also have temporarily quit intentionally a few times, and its not hard to get off of. You feel a little depressed for like 3 days and not as hungry, but then that quickly goes away.


I'm just not seeing the downsides here aside from possible lung damage.

so yeah I would go as far as saying all drugs are bad. Frankly I don't see why people are so obsessed with living forever. It's probably due to the fact very few live fulfilling lives, and never want to let go because they never really lived.

Once you realize you are a slave, always have and always will be, the thought of carving out your own little slice of heaven, starting a family, raising your kids, then dying doesnt really sound so bad. well my grandfather was a farmer and i helped many times with the crops and I much prefer what I do for food than what he did for food. I'm not sure your point here, as what I have seems to be better than the strict natural way of things.
