You have read and know nothing of the Paris treaty if you believe that's fake. Jagoff. The treaty deindustrialized the United States and subsidizes industry elsewhere to the burden of the US tax payer. It did nothing for Climate Change other than allow faggots that hate America to virtue signal.

Wrong, they are supposed to reduce their rate they are increasing their emissions, and as someone stated earlier they don't have to meet any set goals until 2030. China doesn't even have to begin decreasing their growth rate until 2021, and even then the can delay it as much as they want. To put this in perspective if China's carbon emissions were a car, they didn't agree to drive under a certain speed limit, nor did they agree to stop pressing the pedal to the floor, they only agreed to stop increasing the horsepower of that vehicle while they continue to drive it at break neck fucking speed. Sounds fair right.

The paris agreement is the biggest joke of environmental policy ever concieved so bureaucrats can justify their over inflated salaries while climate scientists suck each other of, and I state this as someone who remediates industrial waste for a living. Carbon emission regulation is the biggest fucking joke and fails to address any actual hazardous substances being released by developing nations across the world. Fuck hippie environmentalists.

Any news coming from China should be subect to scrutiny. Anything their government says will most likely be a lie. They recently got all up in arms about a Chinese exchange student in the US talking about freedom of speech/expression in the US and how it's awesome. It caused the Chinese government to engage in damage control by saying that suppression of speech and expression isn't as bad as this exchange student may have been implying.

They'll do whatever they can to make their country look awesome to keep the rest of the world from directing their magnifying glasses at China.

Nigger you've never seen real pollution. Lithium mining alone will rape China's souls and destroy mass swathes of their potable groundwater. They really keep the actual damage done to the environment to produce green technologies under wraps and keep hammering carbon as the only real concern.

Carbon is maybe possibly a long term problem that will cause housing issues down the line, the accute affects of the actual toxins being produced are far more devasting to people and the environment. We only care about co2 because it's easy to track emissions and therefore easy to tax them.

shouldn't it be base on, for example, people who actually use cars or something?

Most people in India don't have toilets and definitely no car. I wonder how many people in China actually have cars compared to not...

At the moment it's incredibly inefficient. Solar and wind generators I mean. When electricity runs through power cables, some of that current is turned into heat due to copper wires/cables resisting the signal. Aka impedance. The less electricity is impeded, the more electricity can make it to storage devices and electrical devices in general. From what I understand, the best alternative is Graphene. It resists electricity significantly less than copper does, which would make the aforementioned generators a more viable source of energy production.

At the moment, graphene is difficult to produce in large quantities since it's still a fairly new technology. Once it can be mass produced, then we can move forward in developing more efficient tech that would result in large scale energy production.

Kinda funny, the hippies that complain about pollution and wanting alternative energy sources could be the ones spearheading the change, but instead they'd rather take gender studies and psychology courses. Fucking hippies.

Canada: 662 per 1000 people

India: 32 cars per 1000 people

So using per capita for pollution doesn't make sense, simply because a persons main pollutant, I think, is their automobile.

Graphmeme's advantages have nothing to do with transfer losses, and nobody is considering changing copper cables for graphmeme cables. Their advantages come in the form of the storage device itself, because *in theory* it's electric storage capacity is absurdly high, and its recharge rate too, and it's not affected much by temperature, and should last a very long times, and shouldn't use any/much rare earth metals, and losses when storing/decharging should be low. All *should*s.

You have to include energy production, use of wood stoves, industrial emissions, agriculture etc.
The difference is that India is poor as fuck so they mostly produce CO2 emissions by breathing. Meanwhile the developed world produces a lot of CO2, mostly by consuming tons of energy, but we also work on energy efficiency and "green energy" technologies to reduce emissions.

The agreement just asks that countries reduce their total carbon output. There are different ways to do that. Yeah, a bunch of men in suits talking shit is really going to get something done. Instead of investing in renewables or new technology their best solution is another useless tax, which the money from, gets spent on God knows what.

Investments in renewable energy and natural gas in the US has actually resulted in a net gain of jobs. More jobs leads to a stronger economy. Besides, our government wastes a lot of money on our bloated military, so it's not like overspending is actually an issue in their eyes.

The wall is a terrible waste of money. The vast majority of illegal immigrants are here on now-invalid visas - most are getting here legally and then just refusing to leave. A wall won't help that in any way.

Mexico won't pay a cent even if it somehow gets built. Why would they? Their economy is based on jobs provided by greedy US companies. The US government can't use that as leverage because big businesses are lobbying Congress to keep it legal.

The paris agreement is non-binding and allows countries to set their own standards, ergo China, Russia and India would have signed it and then walked away chuckling while they intentionally failed to meet even their lipservice goals. Meanwhile, in America environmentalists and anti-American interests could use the agreement to set even higher emissions restrictions that would have to be met, since the American government does actually care about emissions and public opinion.

The amount of manpower and resources required to not only terraform an entire fucking planet but also transport enough people there to ensure its stability is incalculable.

You're right in it will be tariffs and import taxes. But the reason why we won't see a reduction in exports is America is Mexico's largest buyer. Not to mention the surrounding nations by Mexico don't have shit and aren't gonna import anything.

I've brought up terraforming in this context before. I've never had a decent reply from my opponent when I celebrate the potential revolutions in Terraforming that Climate Change would make necessary on the off chance it isn't manufactured bullshit.

Bruh the emissions have to rise for developing countries. That's a fact that you understand, the only way it'll get lower is by completely stopping any new investments into the field and that'd just impractical considering how many of their people still need power.
>won't spend the money properly
Both India and China are already investing their own money into cleaner methods. Why the fuck would they then take the money and lie?
>won't reduce emissions
Again, literally impossible for developing countries. The best they can do is keep it checked. There is a reason why India only agreed to the accord within the last year, it would be unsustainable for India to go with that plan if their aren't any aid being given.
>bs projects
Opinion not fact
>EU lies about their emissions
Source? I'm legitimately curious, haven't heard of this besides that deal with Volkswagen and other companies.

>>128820447
Because America has already used and abused the coal industry to further it's economic development with no regard for the environment for decades. Ditto for every other developed countries. Now those same countries that are economically stable at the expense of the world are telling burgeoning economies that they can't do the same because of muh environment. This accord is unfair. But only to developing countries.

Link me the bs projects, I don't care what some other fag said, I'm talking to you.
And I'm not denying ops picture, all I said was that it wasn't given with context. Only idiots would take that picture for what it is. The cost was of completely cutting coal out of the equation for India or even china would be billions upon billions of dollars. More money then the entire accord can even finance. This was the comprise for the common good.
>>
>>128799048

>per capita

so you're advocating genocide for browns then panjeet?
>>
>>128823504
Oh sure they couldn't possibly do more, but the point that the accord is an unenforceable piece of garbage where even if everyone does exactly what they're supposed to, even if they gauge their co2 output properly, and even if it actually correlates with a warming of 2 percents, we have to cross fingers that this wont be too much for a positive feedback loop.
China, the US, and India would all have to cut their emissions more than they are already planning to. And they wont, and their emissions will keep raising.

So then what's the solution? Not do anything and keep up with our current plan of polluting the world with our unchecked coal industry?

And those links only deal with China, who has a noted history of draining millions of dollars into retarded projects for the hell of it. I'm of the opinion they don't need financial aid, India does however, they aren't yet on that level where they can finance it themselves.

I've got a question for you and this is in regards to India. Why would they agree to this accord, which pretty much fucks them over in their economic development. Unless the financial aid they're getting far exceeds how much of that capital they're throwing away by switching t9 coal (which it isn't, not even close) then it makes no sense for them to make it harder on themselves.
>>
>>128826035

our coal industry ISN'T unchecked in the west

we're on the forefront of cleaner energy just due to wealth and technology

if you wanted less pollution the USA should be regulating the world not the other way around
>>
>>128796786
US Paid $1B to Green Climate Fund, Top Polluters Paid $0

The United States contributed $1 billion to the global Green Climate Fund, but the world's top polluters contributed nothing, David Asman reported.

Asman said on "Forbes on Fox" that China, Russia and India contributed no money to the Green Climate Fund, yet that international community pressured the U.S. to join the Paris Climate Accord.

Steve Forbes said that the billion-dollar payment is another reason why President Trump was smart to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris agreement.
>>
>>128796786
Paris Agreement was bullshit, but we do need to preserve the environment.
Of course, nobody is willing to take the only actions that could actually work--radical depopulation. And no, that doesn't mean giving shitskins a free pass. If anything, we need to be dropping bombs on Africa instead of food aid.

Exactly. Because of our wealth and technology that was aided by our unchecked use of coal over the past century. We've already done the damage, now we're just telling less developed countries they can't go that same route because now we believe in climate change whereas when we were developing, climate change could go fuck itself.

This actually isn't as irrelevant as the tards in this thread are making it out to be. However this actually displays the very reason the Paris Accord was complete bs and great that Trump pulled out.

Fucking solar panels aren't going to be powering industry on a large scale anytime soon. So instead of sending that money abroad, investing it here in the US would have a vastly greater impact for residential purposes and actually reduce CO2 emissions. Funny how nobody, especially MSM likes to point that out.

chinas pollution doesnt come from the chinks starving to death in the vast fields all over the country, it comes from the incredibly dense and toxic cities that all the shit is taking place in. it doesnt matter that not everyones contributing to the problem, what matters is that the few that ARE fucking shit up are doing it as such an astronomical rate. if you wanna be retarded and say itd be easier for us to reduce our emissions fine, but you also need to concede that knocking their cities down a notch would also net at least noticeable results in their air quality
